The West London Hospital was the location of an Anomaly which lead to the Permian. It allowed Diictodons to come into the present. The creatures burrowed through the walls and ceilings of the building, damaging it's electrical system in the process. As the ARC arrived to investigate the incursion; a pregnant woman named Melanie checked in to the hospital, claiming she was about to give birth. In order to get photographic evidence for his news story; Mick Harper locked Nick Cutter and Abby Maitland inside one of the hospital's operating theaters with the anomaly and Melanie as she entered labour. (Episode 3.3)
