  • I'm a long time fan of the series and always believed we'd get a season 6 but that seems unlikely now. When season 5 ended with the possibility that all the anomalys had closed, I felt unsatisfied and shocked that it was all over just like that, I genuinely believed it was the end before we see the cliff-hanger with future Matt but still what would of happened next? We'll never know.

If we had been given a true final season with 7 episodes, I would of liked to see how convergence effected the ARC doing their job now that the world knows the truth, maybe its a good thing and Stephen was right all along? Conor and Abby happily married plus getting the old vibe the series had before Nick died too. Overall I would want an optimistic ending rather than "you have to go back".

    • Did you like or dislike how primeval ended? What would your ending be? I Would love to hear your thoughts :)

    • Here's how I think series 5 or maybe the series should have ended: The T.rex from S5E5 reappears at the end of the final episode similar to how it does in the original Jurassic Park's ending, and in this it kills the future predators and saves the ARC crew. The anomalies all close, everyone knows about them, Abby and Conor get married and Danny Quinn (with longer hair and a beard but shaves by the very end of the episode) finally returns with his brother who gets sent to jail for the things he's done.

    • I think that Connor and Abby should have gotten married, Matt gets to go to a fixed future, and Jenny comes face to face with an outside-of-time Claudia Brown. The series ends with Lester being knighted (because according to season 5 episode 1 the credits lied for the first two seasons when they called him Sir Lester?) and the ARC becoming public. Connor's anomaly predictor ensures that the ARC will always be ready, and we end with a monologue by a secretly-still-alive Cutter (his clone actually died, and Cutter has been outside of time with Claudia) about time.

    • That would have been a great way to end the series

    • I think that the ending of Primeval was good, owever I don't like that cliffhanger at the end with the future Matt.

I watched it recently and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, it's far from a perfect episode but your right, the ending was good before that cliffhanger, wished we'd gotten an epilogue montage scene instead, showing Connor and Abby getting married, Lester getting his Knight hood and then just before the credits roll, we see them all get a phone call and the Primeval theme music starts playing implying that the anomalies are back and this leaves things open ended if thay ever got a season 6.
