A production designer is the person responsible for the overall look of an episode. Production designers have one of the key creative roles in the creation of films and television. Working closely with the director and producer, they must select the settings and style to visually tell the story.
Anthony Ainsworth was the production designer for Series 1 and Paul Cross took the position in Series 2. Michael Ralph took over for Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5.
