This hospital was where Tom went to for an MRI scan after becoming infected with a Parasite.
Just after the scan, when the Parasite's influence caused Tom to bite and infect the doctor responsible for the scan, Tom fled to the hospital toilets and the doctor reported the incident as a tropical disease. Nick Cutter, Stephen Hart and Claudia Brown subsequently came to the hospital to contain the Parasite epidemic, but Tom left before they could find him. (Episode 1.4)
