Adrian Hodges is a British television and film writer. He is also the co-creator of Primeval, along with Tim Haines. With Tim Haines, he confirmed the Labyrinthodont for Episode 4.5 and the Tyrannosaurus Rex for Series 5.


His debut as a television writer was the 1991 television drama Tell Me That You Love Me, followed by screenplays for The Bridge and Tom & Viv.

After his film adaptation of Julian Barnes's Metroland, Hodges concentrated on writing television movies, including Amongst Woman, The Lost World and Charles II: The Power and The Passion. He has also adapted two of Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart stories for TV: The Ruby in the Smoke and The Shadow in the North, with The Tiger in the Well in production.

In 2005, Hodges wrote an episode of the HBO-BBC co-production Rome titled "Triumph". He also wrote a remake of Survivors which was bradcast from 2007 to 2010 on BBC One.

Hodges is currently working on Series 5 of Primeval and a new adaptation of Silas Marner.
